Consistently Inconsistent

Whilst I’ll churn the stats over tomorrow to get a figure, this weekend has not been terrific for the blog’s ROI by any stretch. Whilst the inconsistency of the league helps us find such great value prices, this week we were one goal away from too many shouts.

We’re left with some interesting questions to look at:

Have Independiente turned the corner?

Was Racing’s early-season form just a false start?

If they don’t go through in the libertadores this week, will Velez be guaranteed the title?

How long will Falcioni last?

Will Palermo score again?

and will Quilmes win a game this season?

As ever, all we can do is digest the information we see this week and have a look to next week’s fixtures where we see the Avellaneda clasico, a true test of Olimpo’s title credentials at Estudiantes, an enthralling clash between Lanus and San Lorenzo and a relegation 6-pointer between All Boys and Huracan.

It’s going to be fun trying to pick those results.

Chau for now.
